Welcome to Steel City Systems. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and your purchase of products and services from us. By browsing this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or order from us.

In these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Steel City Systems; "you" refers to the customer or site visitor.

1. Who we are and where we operate

Steel City Systems is a solo-operated business that builds and sells custom, prebuilt, and refurbished PCs. We have no physical storefront. All sales are completed through local meetup or hand-delivery only, within approximately a 100-mile radius of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. We do not offer shipping. Orders placed from outside our service area cannot be fulfilled and will be refunded.

2. Eligibility

By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have the involvement of a parent or guardian), that the information you provide is accurate, and that you are located within our service area.

3. Products, specifications, and listings

We work to keep listings, specifications, and images accurate, but we don't warrant that every detail is error-free, complete, or current. Product photos and spec-card graphics are representative of our work and the listed configuration.

All components meet or exceed the listed specifications. Because of current component-market conditions, the exact make or model of a part (for example, the specific motherboard or RAM brand) may vary based on availability — but every part will meet or exceed the guaranteed specifications shown. We reserve the right to correct errors, update listings, and limit or discontinue products at any time.

4. Orders and acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order, including orders that appear fraudulent, fall outside our service area, or cannot be fulfilled. Prebuilt and custom systems are made to order — your payment funds the components we purchase specifically for your build. Custom builds are quoted and invoiced individually following a consultation.

5. Pricing and payment

All prices are in U.S. dollars. Full payment is required before we order parts or begin a build. Because component pricing can move quickly, quoted prices are valid only for the period stated in your quote (or are locked at the time of order via invoice). Prices are subject to change until an order is placed.

We collect Pennsylvania sales tax as required by law; tax is calculated at checkout based on your delivery location. Applicable delivery fees are added based on your zone and are taxable under Pennsylvania law.

6. Delivery and pickup

We deliver or meet in person within our service area. Delivery fees vary by distance, and a minimum order value may apply to outer zones. We'll coordinate a delivery or meetup time with you directly. At handoff, you're encouraged to confirm the system powers on and matches your order, and we may ask you to confirm receipt by signature or text.

7. Cancellations, refunds, and warranty

Cancellations, refunds, restocking fees, inspection at delivery, and warranty coverage are governed by our separate Refund & Return Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please review it before ordering.

8. Acceptable use

You agree to use this site lawfully and not to misuse it — for example by submitting false information, attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the site, or using it to defraud us or others. You are responsible for the accuracy of the contact and delivery information you provide.

9. Intellectual property

All content on this site — including the Steel City Systems name, logo, text, graphics, spec cards, and build photography — is owned by or licensed to us and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and our products and services are provided "as is" and "as available." Our warranty obligations are limited to those stated in our Refund & Return Policy. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for data, software, or files on a system once it has been delivered and accepted, except as covered by warranty. You are responsible for backing up your own data.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steel City Systems will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the appropriate courts located in Pennsylvania.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on the site at the time you place an order applies to that order. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
